I wouldn't cry over spilled milk but I would quite possibly shed a tear if I spilled my wine

Blackstone Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 California
Two for two! Woooohoo! This wine is awesome. It's wildly different from the white merlot, but I like it just as much, if not more! It's an inky, opaque, dark purply red, and it almost has a slight smell of green banana. (Normally I don't care for banana smells or flavors unless it's in a real banana, but in this case I don't mind it). It has a great, spicy flavor and is pretty dry. Thumbs up!
...my online journal chronicling the wines I've tried, which serves a dual purpose. First, to avoid being condemned to repeat the past, and second, to aid me in my search for my own personal Holy Grail (which would, of course, be filled with The Perfect Wine). I prefer reds, but I will try anything once! And then make fun of it here.

Looking for a gift idea for me? How about a subscription to a Wine of the Month club? Or... do they have Wine of the Week clubs??
I remember the days when I was, in my own words, "not much of a wine drinker"... this was sometime in the previous century. That classification began with the glass of "hot red wine with spices" that my sister made for me once when I was visiting her with a cough that was keeping me awake at night. I never did tell my sister this, but what was in that glass seemed to me like the exact temperature and flavor of vomit. I know, ick! So from then on I was "not much of a wine drinker"... until that one fateful night when Kay got ahold of me. She started me off easy with Berenger White Zinfandel and I have never looked back. For a while I only liked "pink" wines until Amy simultaneously made fun of me for this and opened my eyes.
